1915-28년 사이 녹음했던 카잘스 '첼로 소품집'에 모두 29곡이 담겼다. 첫 음반에는 헨델 오페라 '세르세' 중 '라르고', 브루흐 '콜 니드라이', 슈만 '트로이메라이' 등 1915년, 1916년, 1924년 녹음했다. 두번째 음반은 바그너 악극 '뉘른베르크의 명가수' 중 3막의 노래 '아침은 장밋빛에 빛나며', 쇼팽 '야상곡 2번 내림마장조 작품9', 그라나도스 '안달루자' 등 1925년-28년 녹음한 곡들이다. 45세를 전후한 그의 전성기 시절음반.
